Designed specifically for forensic scientists, genealogists, and law enforcement agencies,
GEDmatch PRO provides powerful tools for DNA analysis and genealogical research.

QIAGEN has chosen Bode Technology as its exclusive global commercial partner to accelerate use of GEDmatch PRO genealogy database in law enforcement and the identification of remains. All credit purchases are conducted via a payment portal owned and operated by Bode Technology. The GEDmatch PRO portal and user accounts will continue to be managed by the GEDmatch PRO team.

Credit-Based Pricing

To upload to GEDmatch PRO™, you’ll need to purchase credits. Each credit costs $1000 USD and must be used within one year of purchase. Credits not used within this timeframe will expire.

Credit Usage

Your credit usage depends on the type of DNA analysis you need:

Violent Crime DNA Analysis

DNA obtained and authorized by law enforcement to identify a perpetrator of a violent crime.

Examples: Murder, non-negligent manslaughter, aggravated rape, robbery, or aggravated assault.

1 credit

Deceased Individual Identification

DNA obtained to identify remains of a deceased individual.

1 credit

Evaluation Kit Upload

DNA for evaluation purposes to determine if it will match too many kits in the database.

0.25 credit

Note: Limited to Kit Evaluation tool.

Target Testing of Hypothesized Links

Reference/target testing to confirm a hypothesized link with a DNA match.

Refund Policy

Please note that kits uploaded that return too many matches to other kits in the database are rejected by our system and refunds of upload credits are not provided. Any refunds for failed uploads are at the discretion of GEDmatch PRO and Bode Technology teams.
